One Small Step for Charity, One Giant Leap for BHW!

The Commercial Property team at BHW have been putting their best feet forward this month to raise money for our charity of the year, Leicester HPB Unit.

Members of the team, encompassing paralegals, trainees, solicitors, legal executives, associates and partners, challenged themselves to complete between 5,000 and 10,000 steps per day for the whole of March.

This endeavour was enthusiastically taken up by the whole department, who were keen to counteract the often sedentary nature of office work.

More energy, greater concentration and improved sleep are just some of the happy advantages reported. We hope this challenge acts as a catalyst for us to take forward, proving not just short term benefit, but a lifestyle change that has a wide-reaching positive impact on our health.

All these extra steps are not just benefiting us in Commercial Property. In undertaking the endeavour, the team have raised around £150.00 for BHW’s partner charity, the Leicester HPB Unit at Leicester General Hospital. The HPB Unit carries out research into pancreatic and liver cancer which has the lowest survival rates of any form of cancer.
