On 27th June, BHW entered into the final week of the HSBC table tennis competition playing our final league game. Our team had changed slightly from previous weeks with regular teammates Robert and Farhaan both away. Never one to back away from a challenge we welcomed table tennis newcomer and BHW partner Jack Khurana to the team.

Reflecting on our results after our first year in the competition we were feeling optimistic of a respectable league finish. One team member had even undertaken a table tennis lesson prior to our final game, giving us hope for a few additional match points.

We were unfortunately defeated on the final day but left with our heads held high having successfully placed mid-table and narrowly missing out on the competition quarter finals.

We would like to thank HSBC for their exceptional hospitality throughout the entire event and must give a special mention to Loros the affiliated competition charity. The event has raised thousands to support the charity and to ensure it can continue offering support to over 2,500 people each year across Leicestershire.
