BHW are delighted to have seen four Trainee Solicitors complete their training contracts and accept permanent Solicitor positions with the firm in 2023. Will Sperry, Hayden Ball, Becky Richardson and Symrit Sidhu have all successfully been admitted as Solicitors during 2023 and have proudly begun the next chapter of their legal careers.

BHW’s training programme sees Trainee Solicitors work alongside leading Legal 500 ranked Partners and Solicitors across the firm over their 2-year training contract with hands-on client contact to accelerate their learning.

Will completed his training contract in July and is now part of the Corporate & Commercial team. Will graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2:1 in Law in 2020, and initially joined BHW on a part-time basis while completing his Legal Practice Course (LPC) studies.

Becky joined as a Paralegal in the Commercial Property department in 2021, before applying for a training contract with the firm. Becky qualified in October, joining the firm’s Commercial Property department. Becky studied her Law Degree at the University of Sheffield and completed her LPC with Nottingham Trent University.

Symrit studied Law at the University of Leicester before completing her LPC with the University of Law. Symrit qualified in November and now practises in the firm’s Commercial Property department.

BHW’s Training Principal and Commercial Property Partner, Eleanor Rattay, commented: “We are very proud to continue our great track record of retaining Solicitors who train with the firm. BHW is committed to developing talented lawyers across all its service areas, supporting the next generation of lawyer into the legal industry.”

The trainees all completed various seats in each of the four commercial departments, gaining exposure to the varied work undertaken by the firm and ultimately honing their skills and interests in a specific area.

Eleanor added: “As a Tier 1 Legal 500 firm, we require the highest standards from our lawyers to ensure we maintain the very best client service and legal expertise for our clients. This cohort of newly qualified solicitors are no exception. They have all excelled throughout their training contracts, overcoming any challenges admirably. We are very proud of their achievements, and we are delighted that they are staying with us as they begin what will certainly be highly successful careers.”
