Matt Worsnop is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial department and heads the firm’s IT & Telecoms team. Matt handles a full range of Corporate/M&A work, predominantly in the privately-owned and SME sectors.
Matt is dual qualified as a Solicitor and an Electronic Systems Engineer (M.Eng) in software development. Matt deals with all kinds of commercial matters but specialises in IT contracts, advising on software development, licence, hosting and implementation agreements.
Matt has been recognised in legal industry guides for his merger and acquisition work,, achieving Leading Partner in the Legal 500 and Band 3 in Chambers & Partners. He is also a Legal 500 Recommended lawyer for his specialist work in the IT & Telecoms sector.

- Acted for Gait Consulting Limited in respect of the purchase of Staircraft Group Limited from Travis Perkins.
- Acted for Boolers, a successful wealth management and pension specialists in Leicester, in respect of a complex partner exit and restructure.
- Acted for Flowgreens Limited, a tech start-up launched by some of the people behind Meater – a ground breaking wireless meat thermometer subsequently sold to Traeger Barbecues, in respect of their corporate structure and initial investments.
- Acted for SML Group Limited, a leader in the land, building, and valuation surveying industry, in respect of its multiple acquisitions and investments of/in MWA Arboriculture Limited, Property Risk Inspection Ltd and Surveyor Plus Limited.
- Acted for H.Seal & Co Limited, a specialist manufacturer of narrow fabrics, in respect of an MBO.
