Two of BHW’s trainee solicitors have started 2025 with a bang, having completed their training contracts and accepted permanent solicitor roles with the firm. The latest qualifications follow a successful 2024, which saw three trainees also settle into life as qualified solicitors with BHW.
Helen Foster and Georgia Moss qualified in January and February 2025 respectively, while Samina Jahangir, Pavandeep Sanghara, and Courtney Kidney all qualified in 2024.
Helen joins the corporate and commercial department. She studied law at the University of Oxford, before spending 6 years running her own pet care business. Helen returned to law in 2021 to complete her master’s at Nottingham Trent University and joined BHW as a paralegal in 2022.
Georgia has joined the employment law & HR department. Georgia joined BHW in 2022 and has balanced studying her Legal Practice Course (LPC) alongside her role at BHW. Prior to this, Georgia completed her law degree at the University of Leicester.
Corporate partner, Alex Clifton, who leads the trainee recruitment programme at BHW, commented: “It is a privilege to announce these promotions and to see the continuing development of these superb individuals. They’ve all worked incredibly hard during their training and thoroughly deserve their appointments. I’m certain they will have many successful years ahead at BHW”.
2024 saw Samina and Pavandeep qualify into the commercial property department, and Courtney qualify into the employment law & HR department. Samina joined BHW in 2022, having completed a law degree at the University of Warwick. Pavandeep and Courtney have been with the firm since 2020 and 2019 respectively, both first joining as paralegals in the firm’s leading residential property department. Pavandeep completed her law degree at the University of Leicester, while Courtney studied at De Montfort University.
BHW’s training programme sees trainee solicitors work alongside leading Legal 500 ranked partners and solicitors across the firm over their 2-year training contract, with hands-on client contact to accelerate their learning.
Alex added: “We are extremely proud to continue our great track record of retaining solicitors who train with the firm. BHW remains committed to developing and nurturing talented lawyers across all its service areas, supporting the next generation of lawyers in the firm”.
The trainees all completed various seats in each of the four commercial departments, gaining exposure to the varied work undertaken by the firm and ultimately honing their skills and interests in a specific area.
