BHW has successfully advised the shareholders of 3tc Software (3tc) on their sale to technology giant, Motorola Solutions.

Based in Leicestershire, 3tc provides control room software solutions for fire and rescue, and police services. BHW partner Matt Worsnop, and senior associate Cameron Connolly, advised 3tc CEO, David Todd and his team on the deal.

3tc’s computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software is designed to maximize 999 call-taker speed and efficiency in high-stress environments. The multi-screen software gathers and synthesizes critical data that enables call takers to display the real-time location of the caller, and the closest emergency responders to quickly dispatch help to those in need.

Motorola Solutions, a long-time partner and reseller of 3tc’s CAD solution, sees this acquisition as an opportunity to expand its Command Center portfolio, especially within the Fire and Police Services sector.

David Todd, commenting on his experience with BHW Solicitors, said: “Matt and Cameron and their team provided exceptional client service and responsiveness, working tirelessly in the final week to ensure the transaction was completed before the Autumn Budget. I couldn’t be happier with the advice and support provided.”

David added: “We are very excited to join Motorola Solutions. We share a focus on developing solutions that streamline emergency workflows and are excited to enhance the services we deliver to our emergency services customers.”

Matt Worsnop and Cameron Connolly also shared their gratitude: “We want to thank David and the team at 3tc for putting their trust in us and BHW. It has been a pleasure working with them, and we wish them all the best as they join Motorola Solutions.”

Following recent top tier rankings in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners legal industry guides, this transaction further cements BHW’s place as one of the leading commercial law firms in the M&A arena.
