Becky Cooke joined BHW Solicitors as a Paralegal in March 2021 and was awarded a training contract in October of the same year. She qualified as a Solicitor in October 2023 and has since continued her career within BHW’s Commercial Property department.
Becky advises on a wide range of commercial property matters, including freehold sales and purchases, landlord and tenant transactions, and secured lending. Becky is known for her proactive and personable approach, ensuring clients receive tailored advice and a seamless service from start to finish. Her diligent approach and commitment to delivering outstanding client service have earned her repeat instructions from both individual clients and well-established lenders.
As a valued member of BHW’s Real Estate Finance team, Becky has developed specialist expertise in secured lending transactions. She regularly acts for respected lenders on both sole and dual representation matters, handling everything from straightforward deals to complex refinancing arrangements. Becky’s client-focused service has led to repeat instructions from clients including Natwest, HSBC UK Bank plc and Cambridge & Counties Bank Limited.
Work highlights include:
- Advising a well-known lender on a £2.3 million development refinance for a local residential developer.
- Completing a £2.3 million portfolio refinance of four properties for a Leicestershire-based lender, followed by a fifth refinance for the same borrower. Becky has since been reinstructed by the lender to complete the refinance of another property which is to form part of the portfolio for the same borrower.
- Providing clear, practical advice to individuals on the risks associated with entering into security documents.
