countryside fund applications

The Prince’s Countryside Fund is open to applications for funding towards rural projects.

The Fund gives out grants twice a year and projects in rural areas across the UK can apply for funding of up to £50,000. The Prince’s Countryside Fund is open to applications from 9 January until 21 February, 2019.

The Fund aims to support projects that achieve the following:

  • Sustaining rural communities;
  • Improving the prospects or viability of farm and rural businesses; or
  • Supporting aid delivery in emergency and building resilience.

The grants cannot be used to fund individuals or private farm businesses but there are good examples on the Fund’s website of the type of projects which have been successful in the past. These include projects to help young people acquire the skills to improve the viability of farm businesses and projects to reduce isolation in rural areas.
