As October approaches, it is time to reflect on the success of businesses within the legal sector as 29 September saw the release of The Legal 500 rankings 2022.
The Legal 500 ranking is the ultimate guide to law firms and solicitors within the UK, and a leading Midlands-based independent law firm has been featured in four categories, while claiming the top spot for one.
BHW Solicitors, a corporate, commercial and residential law firm has seen impressive growth over the last year with an overall staffing boost of over 20%, alongside its expanded office space at Leicester Grove Park.
Formed in 2003, BHW has quickly transformed the legal landscape, growing organically from a small team of two to just over 90 skilled individuals as we creep towards the end of 2021 – an achievement that is all the more significant when you consider the events of the last 18 months.
Providing the best legal, commercial and strategic advice to businesses of all types and sizes, from start-ups to household names, BHW remains the first choice for many clients, as seen in the latest Legal 500 rankings.
Managing Partner at BHW, Nick Bridle, explains that it is the firm’s employees who are to thank for its continued success in this year’s Legal 500 rankings.
“We are delighted to have maintained our top-ranking,” said Nick. “This achievement recognises the efforts of our team, and to have increased our overall rankings to four categories and eleven lawyers is a great accomplishment.”
BHW, has once again been ranked in the highest tier for Corporate and Commercial in the East Midlands, with partners Ed Nurse and Stephen McElhone retaining the highest accolade of Leading Individual, and Alex Clifton his Next Generation Partner award.
Declared a tier one law firm, BHW Solicitors is a leading corporate firm in the region, standing out for its expertise in the aerospace, private equity, manufacturing and insurance sectors.
While conducting their annual research, the Legal 500 was told by one professional services firm: “They are a first-choice legal firm when it comes to referring legal services to company owners, and both the buyers and sellers of SME sized companies in the UK.
“Their corporate team are always responsive to communication, they are excellent at simplifying the process for clients, reducing stress in the transaction, identifying and resolving issues.”
Ed Nurse, partner and head of Corporate and Commercial said: “It is an honour to receive such high praise from a fellow professional and is something we keep in mind when striving towards our future goals.”
As well as being ranked as a tier one firm, BHW was also ranked as tier two for Commercial Property, tier three for IT and Telecoms, and tier four for Employment, with Commercial Property partner, Eleanor Rattay, retaining her Next Generation Partner award, and Employment associate, Aimée Johns, achieving Rising Star.
This is the first time that BHW has been ranked for its Employment services, recognising the firm’s growing stature in this area in spite of the recent pandemic, of which a client told the Legal 500:
“Having worked on various employment matters throughout the pandemic, the service and breadth of knowledge [from BHW] has been outstanding.”
The firm’s ability to advise and deliver on such imperative sectors within the industry is a testimony to its highly experienced and professional team.
Providing its clients across the Leicestershire, the Midlands and the rest of the UK with a plethora of first-class services, it comes as no surprise that BHW has come so highly recommended in the 2022 Legal 500 rankings.
