On 13th June 2017, Partners Bev Merrell and Matt Worsnop took part in the annual 10k run in Rothley, Leicestershire.  The course takes competitors twice around the village of Rothley, with at least three fairly steep up hills for runners to contend with.  The run was well attended and the chosen charity this year was Loros.  The weather on the night was humid, making difficult running conditions.

Bev has been running on and off for all of her life and does the Rothley 10k every year as a means of keeping fit.  Bev also took part in the Leicester half marathon last year-something she always wanted to do after becoming a mother to Thomas in November 2014.

Matt has recently succumbed to the running bug and regularly takes part in runs across the country.  Matt spends a lot of his spare time in North Wales where he frequently runs around The Great Orme in Llandudno.

Bev completed the course in 56 minutes and 58 seconds – a personal best.  Matt completed the course in 59 minutes and 34 seconds – a personal worst – and vowed never to do the course again!
